Some things
are worth carrying on.
This began with Grandpa Bob, a few pet fallow deer, and corn fed by hand.
01 / A family beginning
They were his pets.
Grandpa Bob kept fallow deer and fed them corn by hand. They were part of his everyday life long before they became part of ours.
When the family inherited the deer, we inherited the responsibility, too. There was a lot to learn.
02 / Learning from others
We had help.
People in the deer industry shared their experience and helped us think beyond simply keeping the deer. We began learning about genetics, infrastructure, and what it takes to build a responsible breeding operation.
That help mattered. We want the story of this ranch to include the people who helped us get here, with their permission.
03 / Looking ahead
The work is ours today.
The hope is that it
outlasts our turn.
Luke & Pop is a family project, built around time spent working together and a future for the next generation. That’s the reason behind the name, and the reason to keep improving.
